Meet Champ
Hello my name is Champ -I am a regal 4 year old, approximately 40lb, cuddle bug looking for a soft lap to lay my head on.
I joined my foster dad after my human passed away a few months ago and I was surrendered to a shelter. Thankfully the kind people at Australian Shepherds Furever took me in to make sure I was well taken care of.
My foster dad may say that I am a Velcro dog but all his friends when they visit see me running around the yard like I own the place! I am a very fast, athletic dog and run circles around my foster siblings because I am the Champ! I would love to use this energy and speed to take agility courses or lure coursing with you because my foster dad says I have excellent potential.
At times I can be very gentle and sweet but sometimes I can get a little vocal. I prefer howling occasionally over the constant barking though. I have not had much close interaction with children.
Did I mention that I LOVE treats? I will even sit down for you if you give me one and sometimes shake your hand if you’re gentle and patient with me. I am trying to learn new ways to obtain food from my foster human and I seem to be getting better each day!
I am crate trained, housebroken, don’t mind cats and do well with dogs. I am great on a leash as well but need continued work on my recall. I am neutered and will be up to date on my vaccines next week.
As great as all my friends have been treating me in foster care I feel that I am fully healed and ready for my next adventure in life with my very own human.
